What's New With Oakland...

Oakland’s mailing services department is presently testing the Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) being implemented by the US Post Office. To achieve maximum postal discounts, this advanced barcode must be in use on customer mailings by May of 2009. The new IMB will contain each permit holder’s Mailer Identification Number (MIN), another new USPS implementation. To save time for our customers we are filing the application for this new MIN. Please contact your sales representative at Oakland or contact Laura Tucsok directly in our Mailing Services Dept. to arrange to have us procure your new required MIN directly from the USPS.

Oakland received 3 Gold Awards in this year’s Print Gallery competition organized by the Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen. The three Gold’s were for the Dura Automotive corporate brochure, “The One Source” Kit produced for Mercedes-Benz Financial, and Oakland’s annual Holiday Card, designed by Dan Levinson, Oakland’s senior graphic designer. Samples of these award-winning projects are available for review in our main conference room.
